Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Officer
Luton, Bedfordshire
£30,000- £40,000 DOE plus Benefits including up to 25 days’ holiday (increasing with service), pension scheme (with generous company input), healthcare, car scheme, childcare vouchers, flexible working hours
Are you an experienced QA Engineer looking for a new challenge? Or are you an experienced Engineer looking to move into Quality Assurance? If so, this is the role for you.
Our client is a growing business in the defence electronics sector, employing over 7,000 people in the UK, Italy and the United States. They currently seek to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Officer to join the team in Luton.
Working across several business groups, as the Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that the customer’s requirements are captured and that the business’ suppliers will be able to meet those expectations. You will hence need to liaise not only with customers but also with the business’ suppliers, to ensure the successful delivery of their request. There will be a real opportunity to take ownership of key suppliers and to influence practices within the organisation and affect change.
For this position our client invites applications from both QA Engineers and experienced Engineers looking to develop a career in quality assurance. Experience within Defence Electronics is not required.
As the Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Officer you will also need:
- Experience in the application and improvement of quality management system requirements
- Ability to identify customer requirements and communicate these into the supply chain
- Ability to influence suppliers to promote and execute change, development and improvement initiatives
- Experience managing a change process within a business or its supplier base
