Description The position involves the day to day support as directed by the Technical Engineering Manager.
The role involves:
• Ensuring high level technical enquiries directed to the WWPC Marketing Group, usually through the regional Technical Managers, relating to fire protection and insulation are responded to efficiently and within the required time under the direction of the Technical Engineering Manager • Support in the development of Technical Notes • Support in the development of FAQs • Support in the development of Technical Reviews • Support in production of technical presentations for internal and external use • Production of CAD drawings • Support of the technical library • Support of the ‘standards’ library • Development of technical tools – e.g. calculation methods - under the direction of the Technical Engineering Manager • Analysis of Fire Protection market data, for the justification of development and support testing • Producing in depth case histories and track records of, for example, new market segments • Support in producing articles for external and internal publication • Producing project specific specifications • Assist with Technology & Innovation projects
A key part of the task requirements, as stated above, will be coordination with Technical Operations Department and R&D groups particularly in respect of product technical standards and documentation.
Candidates should have good communication skills and an interest in oil & gas and construction orientated industries. Knowledge of, and an interest in, fire protection will be an advantage to a candidate.
The successful candidate should also have:
• Engineering degree e.g. BSc, or equivalent • CAD skills (or willing to learn) • Generally computer literate in Microsoft Office • Capable of working to deadlines, and autonomously when required | | |
