ROLE - SERVICE MANAGER / TENDERING MANAGER / PROJECT MANAGER
SECTOR - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AFTER SALES
BASED - LOUGHBOROUGH, LEICESTERSHIRE
SALARY - circa. £26,500 PER ANNUM
• THE OPPORTUNITY -
Our client,part of one of the world's largest engineering groups are now now inviting applications for an experienced Service Tendering / Project Manager to join their team. With a history spanning back nearly 125 years and a presence in over 130 countries with their products, our client can be regarded as one of Leicestershire's leading engineering firms.
We currently have a vacancy for a Service Tendering Project Manager working in our client's after sales department who would report directly to the Service Sales Manager.
Qualifications and Key Requirements
Candidates should be qualified to at least HNC level in an engineering discipline although those with other relevant qualifications will be considered. Must be computer literate with good knowledge of the Company's products and equipment. Previous commercial experience will be an added advantage although training will be given to suitable applicants.
• ABOUT THIS POSITION -
- To proactively seek and obtain enquiries for service work on the Company's products.
- Producing quotations in accordance with Company pricing and tender approval policies.
- Manage allocated projects ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budgeted costs
- Maintain good customer relationships in the interest of the business.
- To support the Service Manager and the Service Sales Manager in developing the Company's service business.
- To co-ordinate all communications between the customer and the Company in a timely manner.
- Attending technical and commercial meetings with customers and other parties.
- To regularly review project performance and report to senior management as appropriate.
- To progress on time invoicing, receipt of payment and to identify late payments.
- To minimise the Company's exposure to liabilities and maximise any opportunity to improve project margins.
- Utilising and updating the Company's computer systems
Other duties and responsibilities can include -
- To ensure that all applicable Company Standing Instructions, including those relating to Health and Safety, are personally complied with.
- Responding to requests for technical information from customers and others, including any necessary liaison with other internal departments, in accordance with established procedures.
- Occasional business travel may be necessary.
