SALARY - days £ 22-24,000 shifts £ 26-28,000 team leader £ 30-32,000

THE OPPORTUNITY -
Our client is a successful privately owned company that has just moved into a purpose built factory that specialises in the production of sustainable building products. They are growing as a business and have grown in the last few years to 300 employees across the country. They own a production facility based in Loughborough that has a series of electrically controlled production machines providing in-house bespoke manufacturing capabilities. They are committed to providing value engineered, tailor solutions for site-specific requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB -
Ensuring the constant delivery of performance KPIs through the provision of a proactive and timely engineering service for both breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities Include -
- Effectively prioritise workload to maintain plant and equipment at the required levels and maximise machine availability.
- Fault-finding and diagnosis of breakdowns.
- Ensure the smooth handover of information between shifts.
- Provide a maintenance service which meets the operational requirements of the factory.
- Ensure that all plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure are maintained in accordance with current health, safety, environmental and equipment legislation and standards.
- Provide a safe working environment for employees, ensuring compliance with current Health, Safety and Environmental policies and safe systems of work.
- Maintain effective cross-departmental communication.
- Support and facilitate the maintenance team in the removal of non value-added work.
- Actively work to create and promote ideas which will improve the performance of the plant and equipment.
- Any other duty that can be reasonably expected.
• ABOUT YOU -
- Essentially hold a relevant qualification within engineering, e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent (Holding a current 16th Edition Qualification would be advantageous although not essential)
- A sound understanding and solid working experience within engineering, preferably with an electrical bias with additional mechanical knowledge (previous experience in plastics desirable)
- Must have excellent communication skills with preferable a proven ability to achieve against performance measures / KPIs and be able to demonstrate previous involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- A flexible attitude to work along with proven organisational and prioritisation skills
