Quality Manager – Interim Contract (Precision component manufacturing industry) Salary: £30-35000 pro-rata Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Cannock. Stafford, Telford, Kidderminster areas)
An interim Quality Systems Manager is sought for a period of 6 to 12 months to take responsibility for the companies ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, Regulatory compliance and auditing.
The position of Quality Manager will be part of the senior management team responsible for delivering high quality precision components to the nuclear and oil & gas industry.
Key Activities: · Develop and maintain the Quality Management System based on ISO9001. · Identification and implementation of quality processes providing internal support generating quality processes and plans; · Lead a process of identification and implementation of quality improvements using root cause analysis; · Customer liaison including site visits and problem resolution. · Monitor and report on performance in regards to all aspects of quality; · Co-ordinate and provide relevant quality training; · Responsible for task and performance management within their team.
Key Skill Requirements: The post holder will preferably be educated to degree level or equivalent, in a relevant technical or quality discipline and possess the following profile: · Previous responsibility for maintenance of a Quality Management Systems (QMS) which meets ISO9001 or similar · Sound leadership abilities whilst also working as a team member; · Excellent influencing, interpersonal, presentational and coaching skills; · Capability to effectively influence across the full range of levels of staff Commercially aware with a good understanding of a technical environment and precision metal manufacturing processes such as machining, presswork, welded assemblies, forging or tool-room; · Previous experience working in a senior quality role within the precision manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or similar high quality manufacturing or engineering environment.
