Description
A world leading provider of complex systems for the aerospace industry has an exciting opening for an experienced quality engineer to provide quality support to both design and manufacturing related activities.
Quality Engineer
Salary: £25-28000 + benefits
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Principle Accountabilities:
· Act as the Customer point of contact for product returns in order to facilitate and investigate zero
returns and provide investigation reports to customers.
· Facilitate Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations.
· Analysis of investigation results for recurrent problems and trends, highlighting as appropriate and
ensuring necessary action plans are implemented.
· Support project teams to ensure that the plans are achieved and that project control is in accordance
with the product assurance system.
· Perform patrol audits/spot checks for adherence to process and procedures.
· Identify opportunities for improvement.
· Perform contract review to ensure all quality requirements can be achieved before new contracts are
accepted by the Business.
· Represent Quality at reviews
Personal Characteristics:
· Likely to be degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering/manufacturing discipline with previous
relevant experience gained in a Quality Assurance Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer position.
· A background gained within a highly complex manufacturing environment such as automotive, aerospace,
medical or defense industry.
Working knowledge of ISO9000, TS16949 or AS9100 quality standards and systems
· Influencing skills - written and verbal.
· Able to multi-task
· High level of motivation and self-discipline in achieving objectives, programmes and time scales.
· Data driven.
· Proven ability to adopt new concepts and techniques.
· IT literate.
