Commodity Manager - £35,000 - Aerospace
This is an opportunity to join a growing diversified Aerospace & Engineering group. Their order book is extremly buoyant leading to a requirement for a Commodity Manager to join their business. Reporting to the Group Commodity Manager the Commodity Manager will be responsible for defining and implementing commodity strategies to deliver benefit to the business and ensure continuity of supply.
Experience / Skills required.
· Seasoned and experienced supply chain professional - Senior Buyer, Purchasing Manager, Commodity Buyer, Project Buyer etc.
· Highly data literate and driven by the facts of a case.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to instil confidence in all stakeholder groups and manage complex commercial relationships.
· Must be self-starter, able to lead by example and driven to achieve exacting targets.
· Has operated within a commercial role in a large multi division organisation.
· Experience of introducing new suppliers.
· Project/programme management
Desirable Experience:
· Manufacturing industry experience
· Technical background (significant interface with engineers)
· Experience of global sourcing,
