Description
Key duties will include:
?
*Manage the sourcing at optimum cost of a range of commodities
*Negotiate with suppliers in order to develop lower cost opportunities, agree amendments to purchase orders & supply contracts
*Seek and develop cost reduction opportunities through on-going market research
*Participate in Lean Manufacturing workshop activity with the preferred supply base as directs
*Participate in benchmarking programmes with existing and potential suppliers
*Provide timely and accurate data to purchasing manager
You will need:
*To be CIPS qualified
*Have a good understanding of the supply marketplace
*Have a flexible approach and be prepared to travel within and outside the UK
