Description
Reporting to the Director of Global Supplier Development.? This position is responsible for managing activities and priorities of global Electronics Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs) to support the new Global Electronics organization.

Principal Accountabilities
*Evaluating and developing new suppliers to meet the Group's quality and manufacturing requirements.
*Driving effective Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for the supply base.
*Continuous improvement of existing supply base's serial production performance and working to identify and implement cost reduction activities.
*Embrace and drive continuous improvement within their own organization and within the Global community.
*Effective leadership and mentoring
*Ability to understand and improve supplier capabilities
*Effective interaction with the development communities.

Personal Characteristics and Key Skills
*Experience in manufacturing processes and production environments.?
*Understands interpretation and application of global quality standards (ISO-9001 & TS-19649).?
*Ability to conduct supplier assessments, complete and analyze APQP/PPAP/Capability data.?
*Effective in managing and working with a global team.?
*Regional and international travel required - approximately 40%.
*Candidate must be highly motivated, able to multi-task, set priorities and be goal oriented.????
* A bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Electronics Engineering preferred) or equivalent
Experience in a quality or manufacturing related background including 5 years in a complex product development environment (automotive supplier/OEM preferred).
*Must have experience in Electronic component design or manufacturing.
*Previous group leader/supervision experience required (2 years minimum, 5 desirable).?
*ASQC Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus.?
*ISO-9000/TS16949 Lead Assessor training.?
* Fluent in English.?

?????????? Experience in automotive industry
?????????? Knowledge and appilcation of Value Engineering, Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.?
