Key Responsibilities
- The main focus of this position is producing purchase orders by supplier to ensure the above is achieved.
- Working with and forming close relationships with suppliers to make sure there is clear communication of supply issues and to ensure working to the most effective arrangements such as minimum orders, lead times and delivery frequencies to ensure stock levels are balanced and short shelf life product write offs are kept to a targeted level.
- Focused on achieving the highest possible service level for our customers and this will form one of the main KPIs the successful candidate will be measured on.
Key Skills
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in supply chain preferably food distribution (although not essential) and will be familiar with forecasting demand against sales histories and including exceptional events to ensure our customers receive the highest service and so stock levels are kept at an appropriate level.
- The candidate will also have experience of and be able to provide examples of how they have managed redundant stock out of a warehouse / freezer.
- This will tie in with being able to form a close working relationship with the sales team understanding additional requirements new business brings including bespoke stock.
- The candidate must posses excellent time management skills as there will be many and varied tasks to be completed during the course of the day.
