THE ROLE Working closely and interfacing with the European based software engineering teams; you will be testing current and future consumer products and PC Software. Your responsibilities will include:
*Interface and review test plans *Liaise within the team to ensure time estimations for testing are included in the project planning schedule *Test the software of products, following test plans and standard test routines *Test the product with end-user eyes *Report bugs in the centralised bug tracking database *Work with (semi) automated test equipment *Provide software test reports to the required standard *Ensure reports are delivered on time and to schedule *Maintain and improve test procedures *Highlight any major issues as necessary *Ensure returns of products are minimised
THE PERSON You will be qualified to degree level in software engineering or similar qualifications or be qualified by experience and have a strong Software Testing background, ideally in consumer electronics products or similar. You will have knowledge of the software development lifecycle and of PC technology. You will have tested products by analysing and identifying areas for modifications, and have the ability to write test scripts and generic test plans and to produce test reports accurately.
You will have excellent communication skills and first class customer service skills combined with an analytical mind capable of solving problems and identifying solutions. You will have the ability to self manage as well as being able to work in a small development team.
Due to the nature of this role, there may be worldwide travel on occasions.
