This is a significant manufacturing leadership role with this highly admired design led company. Operating at the top end of its market where it deservedly has earned itself a distinct pedigree, the company supplies discerning customers on a global basis.
Manufacturing is undertaken from a single site in the North West combining high precision capital equipment with hand made craftsmanship and utilising fine natural materials primarily on a “make to order” basis. The company is highly successful with a consistent history of profitable growth.
A first class Manufacturing Director is now sought who will ensure that the production capability and operational effectiveness can meet the rigorous needs of its customer base and support the growth objectives going forward. Reporting to the Chairman the focus will be on delivering a world class operating platform with the highest standards of quality and a commensurate level of operational cost and efficiency. This is a full operational P&L leadership role where in addition to a manufacturing operation of c120 skilled employees, the remit encompasses broader responsibilities for sourcing, warehousing, logistics and support services.
With impressive qualities you will be a manufacturing professional with a modern proactive approach and a proven track record in delivering bespoke customer solutions. Team and goal orientated with excellent leadership and communication skills, you will also need to be able to demonstrate your success in delivering business change in a pragmatic and sensitive way.
As timber is a core raw material, experience in this or a directly related industry utilising precision engineering principles would be a distinct advantage.
This is a very senior appointment and will appeal to those who have the capacity for both strategic vision and operational detail with the confidence and presence to build an even more successful business operation.
