Description Quality Manager - Aerospace Salary to £55K + 12% Bonus + Car + BUPA + Pension Location: Birmingham West Midlands
Quality Manager required to ensure that customer and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded through achievement of the highest standards of quality, product and business integrity. To promote and establish world class customer satisfaction and business practices across the business unit. Candidates of interest will come from an Aerospace, Defence or Electronics manufacturing background.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Drive and embed a pro-active quality strategy and culture within the business. · Establish quality policies and procedures that are followed throughout the business that contribute to consistent high-class performance in all areas. · Provide leadership to the quality team that drives best practice, continual improvement and quality compliance. · Drive review of business / quality performance to promote analysis of problems, and instigate robust containment, corrective and preventive actions. · In conjunction with the Quality Systems Manager ensure that the Quality and Business Management Systems accommodate all customer requirements and meet international and regulatory standards for Quality and Airworthiness. · Represent the business with customers with the objective of inspiring confidence in the quality of products and services provided. · Establish and monitor effective driver measures of quality performance for the business. · Ensure the identification and containment and control of all non-conforming products. · Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in modules and support teams and ensure its continued approval / certification by external organisations. · Ensure the operations modules’ and support teams’ application and compliance with QMS requirements. · Be the focal point and management representative for customer audit / surveillance activity. · Maintain the interface and work with other SBU Quality Managers.. · Provide co-ordination of customers’ quality related requirements and concerns. · Participation in local and improvement activities through the Policy Deployment process. · Co-ordinate the Management Review and corrective action management process. · Ensure an effective exception management process operates in modules and support teams to address product and process quality issues.
