Description The facilities / layout engineers role will be to produce and a maintain factory layouts using AutoCad. The role also includes identifying and developing facility requirements, producing specifications, selecting suppliers, installation, commissioning and handover. This needs to be achieved while complying with all the current health & safety and environmental legislation.
Responsibilities: The engineer will be responsible for the following :-
•Support Facilities engineers to develop detailed site layouts and constant CADDS support •Manage and organize existing CADDS Database.. •Liaise with Architects & Builders to develop concepts and ideas. •Obtain detailed cost pack from suppliers for evaluation and decision making •Support facility installation over weekends if required. •Support general facilities requests to include the following : - -Vendor Selection – Evaluate and investigate supplier tender submissions and recommend the preferred supplier. Design Development – As more detail becomes available the facility design may need to change the project engineer will be responsible for monitoring and controlling cost changes. Equipment Manufacture and Installation – Ensure the standard of equipment and installation is acceptable to AML. Commission – Ensure the plant and equipment operates within the specification and achieves the targets set out in the specification.
Qualifications/Experience:
The candidate will need to be ideally degree / HNC qualified with 3 years relevant experience of managing and controlling facility installation projects. Autocad is a key compentance for this role. Understanding of CDM and Health & Safety legislation is desirable , experience within the building trade would be beneficial.
