Description
Objective: This role is the key link between Aston Martin Engine Plant & the Engine Design & Development teams. Knowledge of base engine component & engine assembly requirements is essential for this role.
Responsibilities: Programme manage the engine assembly including: •Create & manage engine programme timing plan, including timing for engine builds to support vehicle builds, outline DV & PV test timing, PSW deadlines. •Manage engine builds- identify engine numbers required for each build, GPIRS set-up & ATPs, obtain finance sign- off for GPIRS. Identify auxiliary parts required for HET, dynos, support for other tests. Organise power rating tests. •Run EPMT meeting to coordinate all Module Owners engineering components fitted to the engine as shipped (may be outside Powertrain) & AMEP STA, Purchase, MP&L, Manufacturing & Launch. •Ensure communication between the relevant teams at AMEP & AML is effective on an ongoing basis •Create engine as shipped ETRS & manage Module Owners to achieve ETRS. •Manage engine- as- shipped variable, engineering & tooling overview (authorise EAS internal CTDs). Develop initial costs for prototype engine builds, AMEP Manufacturing, AMEP Launch (Inc PV test) & ensure AMEP deliver to these costs. •Hold whole engine weight status & allow trade-offs between components as required. •Manage FESO at engine assembly level. Present status at Unit Gateways. Report on Programme status at monthly AMEP Timing & Launch meeting. •Recognise & highlight to Programme Manager & Engines Manager any risks to the engine as shipped QCWFT
Qualifications/Experience
-Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience. -Must have experience of base engine component & engine assembly requirements.
