Personal Qualities Outline Job Profile: EADS Astrium has an opportunity for a suitable Engineer to support the RF systems engineering team engaged on the design, analysis, hardware specification and system integration of advanced communications payloads. No previous relevant industrial experience is essential however we do expect applicants to have a genuine interest in working in the space industry and in the field of space communications in particular. Successful candidates will be given appropriate training to develop their potential and assist them to progress to payload RF systems engineer. In view of the international nature of the business, some overseas travel will be essential.
Candidate Profile:
Suitable candidates will have: · Degree in a relevant discipline · Methodical approach to work, with sufficient commitment and drive complete tasks, even where adverse conditions are encountered · Strong analytical skills · Ability to organise and co-ordinate their work. · Knowledge of communications systems and an interest in spaceborne communications and payloads · Willingness and ability to learn on-the-job · Willingness to travel overseas
Specific Tasks to be Undertaken: Specific tasks are likely to include several of the following: · Participation in communication payload projects/proposals/studies · Support payload architecture development · Support payload RF system performance analysis · Support payload requirements analysis · Support equipment specification development · Support validation and test strategy development and specification | | |
