Process Control Supervisor
Stocksbridge, Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Circa £30,000 plus benefits including Final Salary Pension Scheme, Company Sick Pay Scheme and 35 days paid Holiday Entitlement.
Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium. They have 41,200 employees in over 40 countries and sales offices and service centres worldwide.
The company are looking for someone to manage the day to day operation of the Process Control Technicians on the Stocksbridge Site, for the maintenance, calibration and development of site wide process control services and computer equipment on a 24hour 7day basis
In addition the job holder will also be predominantly required to:
? Direct and supervise the operations of the process control department, including breakdown, maintenance and calibration work of process equipment.
? Negotiate specifications and costs of contracts with external contractors for specialised maintenance and Q.A. calibration services and to monitor the work of contractors to ensure they are performing to required standards on quality, safety, service and cost.
? Devise planned maintenance, inspection and calibration schedules and ensure they are followed to meet plant statutory requirements. Plan and organize programmed planned maintenance and other jobs to minimise loss of production time to make best use of engineering resources and minimise costs.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience and demonstrable working experience in the area of process control / electrical engineering. In addition they will be educated to at least HNC level or equivalent in process control / electrical engineering with a sound knowledge of process control systems and equipment.
Located in Sheffield, this role is commutable from areas such as Rotherham, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Wakefield. | | |
