Description Electrical Designer (ideally someone with the following working knowledge of both Electricity Association and National Grid Technical Specifications) required in the ledds area to produce schematic diagrams from basic philosophy and engineers sketches.
Your role will involve:
- Assist with planning and monitoring of progress against budget on individual projects. - Assist in the development and implementation of drawing office standards. - Undertake site visits throughout the UK to survey existing installations. - Attend contract bid reviews and Post Contract Reviews to help improve future design office performance. - Meet the requirements of the various ESI Safety Rules to obtain Person status. - Have responsible for a number of small projects and to liaise with customers and Project Leaders on design issues. - Provide technical design support to site staff during project installation and commissioning phases.
You will ideally be someone with the following
- Previous experience of working in a Design Drawing Office producing light current drawings - Excellent computer skills and fully conversant with latest computer design drawing packages including AutoCAD 2002 - Have a applicable to substation control and protection systems. Familiar with the application of modern protection relays.
