Description
Instrument Engineer (ideally someone with Degree in Instrument and Control HNC/HND may be acceptable, dependant on experience) required within the region of Angus Scotland.
Your role will involve:
- Specification of field instruments, including pressure, temperature, level transmitters, field
- Indicators actuated and control valves.
- Preparation of RFQs and evaluation of quotations for subsequent purchase orders.
- Preparation of cause and effects, control philosophy and control panel specification.
- Preparation of instrument hook-ups, cable schedules, instruments index, alarm and trip
- Schedules, test specifications etc.
- Checking of instrumentation and associated documents.
- Review/approval of sub vendor documents.
- Testing of instruments during F.A.T./S.A.T./Pre-commissioning.
- Site acceptance/pre-commissioning work.
You will ideally be someone with following:
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of front end and detailed design of Control and Instrumentation systems. Experience of certification of instrumentation for use in Hazardous areas A TEX/CENELEC as well as North American Standards.
- Familiarity with hands on instrument testing/calibration checks. Working knowledge oflS09001.
- Experience in use of Microsoft Office 2000.
- Use of instrument database software (where possible)
