Description
Senior Development Engineer (ideally someone with proven track record in the design and development of small precision electro-mechanical assemblies within a quality orientated organization) required in the Cardiff area to support all aspects of instrumentation and mechanical systems engineering of the existing product range and new product design and development.
Your role will involve:
- Determine, execute and guide all design & development activities
- Preparation and review of all project and product documentation.
- Conduct design and development activities to ensure that manufacturing and project target costs and timescales are met.
- Identify technical solutions to key problems as and when necessary
- Support the design/product/process verification and validation requirements
- Be mindful of risk reduction strategies and lead risk analysis and FMEA?s.
- Assist in the preparation of regular update reports and presentations.
- Use PC based instrumentation to validate solutions
You will ideally be someone with the following:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or related degree relevant to post
- Relevant post graduation experience.
- Medical device design development experience
- A good degree qualification combined with a high level of technical competency (both analytical and practical).
- Six years plus postgraduate industrial experience culminating in a senior position.
- Experience in the preparation of technical documents such as risk analysis, FMEA, user requirements
