Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager to join a key manufacturing site within one of the UK’s leading food companies. The business has a significant presence within its category, producing a selection of branded and own label products, including a grocery top ten brand. Following a record breaking year, the business has been recognised as the best performing division within a truly global food group. Whilst proud of their results, they recognise the importance of continuing this trend, and seek to achieve a step change improvement in manufacturing performance and standards going forward.
Our client is looking to appoint a Chief Engineer to lead and develop the engineering function on site. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering strategies that will deliver world class standards of performance and quality and create a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have held a senior engineering position previously within a manufacturing environment. Whilst experience of a fast paced manufacturing environment would be beneficial, more important is a demonstrable track record of delivering improvement and change within an engineering team. The right individual will be able to demonstrate an ability to get the best out of people and equipment, a drive for results, strong leadership skills and a passion for engineering excellence.
