Description
Our client is a leading specialist manufacturer and part of a larger group of companies. In this role you will report into the Managing Director of a built for purpose manufacturing site and lead the ongoing development of all functions. Your direct reports will include a Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain Manager and EH&S Manager and you will be tasked with leading and developing these functions using lean principles and a motivational / inclusive man management style.
You will ideally have exposure to 6 Sigma but this is not as critical as having a proven track record of delivering operational efficiencies and cost control using lean principles. Your CV will demonstrate these successes as well as Cost Centre or P&L responsibility, ideally within a light to medium manufacturing environment with a mixture of high, medium and low volume lines. You will be hands on and not manage exclusively from the office, you should also be able to improve the performance of IT systems (alongside the IT Manager) and control logistics/freight costs.
All fast moving manufacturing backgrounds will be considered, particularly relevant are those involving presswork and fabrications. Applications from people with 1st/2nd Tier Automotive / Aerospace are particularly encouraged although this company is not one themselves.
