PLM Consultant Basingstoke c£50K + benefits
Primary Purpose of the Role
Deliver all levels of PLM Consultancy and project management into CIS Customer base including the clientsOperating units.
Technical & Professional skills
Training on one or more of the following Enterprise PLM solutions is desirable:
·PTC Windchill PDM Link V8 Onwards, PTC Windchill Project Link V8 onwards, Siemens PLM TeamCenter Enterprise V4 Onwards, Siemens PLM Teamcenter Engineering V9 Onwards, Oracle Agile PLM V9 onwards.
·Mod / Defence / Military background
Education & Qualifications
·Design, consulting and implementation experience with 1 of the major PLM solutions; Siemens PLM Teamcenter Enterprise/Engineering;PTC Windchill PDM Link/Project Link.
·Integration skills with ERP applications such as Oracle and SAP are desirable.
·Conversant with Enterprise level Information system implementations (PDM,PLM,ERP,EAI,CAD,CASE), Relational Database Management systems, and associated Business benefits and risks.
·Experience of managing teams across multi-disciplines.
·Experience of working in a Client facing role
·Experience of Managing budgets.
·The ability to understand IS/IT strategies.
Key Tasks
·Work with Account managers, Business Unit leaders, Project Managers, Bid Managers, Business Development staff to provide high quality Consultancy in pre- and post-sales engagements
·Work with the PLM Solution Delivery Unit to ensure best practice and best use of resource
·To manage and control expenditure in line with budgets
·Deliver Project Management services as required
·Play a key role in assisting Line Manager with development of PLM Business
·To help identify business opportunities to generate revenue for TIS
·To provide solutions and improvements that demonstrate ‘Value Add’ to the Customer. Analysis of Customer ‘as-is’
·Identification of key improvement areas for customers
·Generation and managing approval of all documents including proposals, project plans, specifications, statements of work
·Software System and module design, configuration, tailoring, optimisation as required
·All Project Management tasks such as project work package management, schedule, resource management
·Management of sub-contractors
·To seek opportunities for sharing resources, knowledge and working practices and processes within the wider CIS community.
·To establish, lead and motivate a multi-disciplined team to achieve PLM Project or bid objective | | |
