Description
Summary of the role
Working as a member of the Business Services Group to manage the resource and programme planning support to the business area.

Key accountabilities
· Manage review of tasking and undertake task reviews working to resolve project conflicts
· Development and management of tasking and resource balancing solutions, utilising company planning tools

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
· Understanding of corporate and project management methods
· Understanding of programme management activities
· A good understanding of planning systems, tools and scheduling methodologies
· Working knowledge of Quality and Safety procedures
· Appropriate degree or formal qualification preferred
· Project Management qualification an advantage (e.g. PRINCE)
· Membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. APM) an advantage
· Experience in programming, planning and scheduling within a project or engineering environment
· Formal Business/Business Finance Planning experience and understanding of programme management activities
· Experience with planning and resource management software e.g. Microsoft Project or Primavera
· Effective planning, organising and measurement skills applied in a programme environment
· Proven IT skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel plus the standard suite of Microsoft software
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
