Description Process Engineer required with a working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Procedures.
A flexible Manufacturing Engineer to work on the A350XWB project primarily supporting the collection and reporting of STV, Cycle and Manufacturing Networks in conjunction with the Assembly System supplier, Design evolution and Change Notes/Trade Study impacts to the Wing Assembly, and other associated project activities. Role will typically consist of working with other functional departments to develop and determine the RC Cost and Network impacts of any changes to Design Maturity and Change/Trade Studies defined by Engineering. The role will also require working with Risk Sharing Partners and Suppliers to ensure the full impacts are recorded.
The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible, working as part of a multi-disciplined team and be prepared to support any area of the A350 XWB project as required by Business needs.
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (MUST HAVE)
•At least 5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering preferably within wing assembly and an appreciation of STV, Cycle and Network creation.
•A clear ability to review and shape Installation STV, Cycle and Networks from Schemes and Change Notes through to DFM
•A clear ability to communicate with all areas of the Airbus business including Design, Procurement and Partners at the project stage of aircraft launch
•An understanding of Structures and Assemblies both in Structural and Equipping environment and able to influence STV Cycle and Networks with final generation of DAP on a new Project
•Able to communicate at all levels and produce reports to management.
•Ability to work independently under own initiative and within a team to meet programme requirements and targets.
•Computer literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
•A working knowledge of Airbus Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Procedures including PRIMES, SAP.
•Knowledge of CATIA v 5
An understanding of Key Characteristics, datum structures and tolerancing requirements
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (DESIRABLE TO HAVE)
•Manufacturing planning experience for aerospace components.
•Full MS Office IT Skills.
•Knowledge of ME processes and procedures
•Composites
