With manufacturing and packaging facilities in 15 countries and sales offices, service centres and representatives in more than 15 countries internationally, our client generates a turnover of £400m and employs 4500 people across the globe.
They are currently seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join their team based in Leeds. The main purpose of this role is to provide effective, efficient coordination of the facilities and services within the Leeds site. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include assisting in the building maintenance, providing support for risk assessments and overseeing the completion of maintenance and testing required for the safe running of the plant. You will also be expected to develop, evaluate and review plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities, participate in the planning, designing, construction and maintenance of facilities and review and / or inspect work for quality, accuracy and completeness acting as a contact point between contractors and departmental heads.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will ideally hold a HNC or equivalent in engineering or science. You will have an understanding of lean manufacturing and you will have good project management skills. You should have experience of CAD and have good general computer skills with excellent attention to detail and communication skills. You should have a working knowledge of health and safety at work regulations and be flexible in your approach to your work and adaptable to change.
