Fuel Systems 1-D Fluids Modelling Co-ordinator
Task
Specialist Advice Flowmaster Modelling
Administration of Flowmaster modelling environment
Two phase modelling
1 - D modelling tools evaluation
coordination of outsourcing
1-D fluids modelling harmonisation wide
UK focal point to Flowmaster
Develop Flowmaster Models of fuel systems. (Areas to be modelled include: in-service aircraft, new civil, military designs and R&T)
Develop interfaces between Flowmaster and other CAE Tools (e.g. Simulink, Fluent, FEM)
Profile
The jobholder will be a member of the Fluids Department within the Fuel Domain of the Systems Centre of Competence and will report to the Engineering Group Leader for Thermo-Fluids Modelling EYUMC.
Required Qualifications and Background
Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, with particular specialisation and experience in fluids network modelling and design.
Demonstration of proven ability to support engineering designs, from a fluids mechanical perspective.
Experience with Flowmaster, PipePhase, Matlab, Simulink is required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications and Skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Familiarity with systems engineering processes
Familiarity with aircraft fuel systems
