Reading, Berkshire
£32,000 - £35,000 Dependent on Experience
Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of building services, and mechanical, electrical, systems integration and maintenance solutions. They are currently looking to recruit a Planning Engineer to join their team.
As a Planning Engineer you will be responsible for project planning all potential/new business initiatives from the tender stage, through to project completion. This role will require your ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as well as your experience of mechanical and electrical installations.
Your focus will be to provide a cost-effective and competent planning service which will provide the company and project team(s) with the necessary tools to successfully achieve Company and project goals and objectives.
Day to day, your duties will include:
- compiling Construction programmes from tender to completion and handover stages
- liaising with engineers regarding the sequence of work, dates and labour resourcing
- report writing and updating on progress
- supporting the project management team
- attending and leading meetings
- providing a service to customers both inhouse and external
To succeed as the Planning Engineer you must have experience of mechanical and electrical installations gained within the Construction industry. You should also have excellent communication skills and a good command of English.
Additionally, you should have strong MS Project, Excel and Word skills, and ideally a working knowledge of Asta Power Project.
