Position – Design Assurance Technical Leader
Location Wiltshire
Permanent
Salary £ 31,700 to £ 35,200 + Benefits & Relocation
A leading international Aerospace company are looking for Design Assurance engineers with airworthiness experience. The role is varied and interesting working on a variety of aircraft types and projects. To ensure conformity of Design to Defence Standards, customer requirements and associated Airworthiness requirements & flight test
Responsibilities
Analysis/assessment of failure modes, Ensure design conforms to relevant standards and airworthiness requirements
Conduct design airworthiness assessments, Complete formal documentation
Seek relevant specialist advice as required, Attendance at Design Reviews and meetings
Knowledge, skills and qualities required
A good working knowledge of an aircraft engineering discipline, Understanding of aircraft systems
Knowledge and understanding of Defence Standards 00-970 and 05-123
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Ability to read engineering drawings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Accurate and attentive to detail
Able to work independently and as a member of a team
An understanding of aircraft system safety, hazard identification and risk analysis would be beneficial.
Multi tasking, Continuous improvement – adaptive to change, Working to deadlines, Development
Key accountabilities
Delivery in line with project requirements, Partnership with Project Manager to deliver formal documentation
Maintenance of records in line with local procedures (ISO 9100)
Team Player, Customer focussed, Task focussed, Leadership
Preferred Qualifications
At least one of the following:
HNC/HND/Degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or Military equivalent
Aircraft Engineering experience
