As a leading Metal Finishing Company, our client supplies both electroplating and powder painting services to a strong manufacturing base in the North of England. An opportunity has now arisen for a sales-driven and tenacious Business Development Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal position for a B2B sales professional looking for a new challenge. Not only does this role offer the chance to join a highly successful team, but also ample scope for career progression for the right person.
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing the company’s client base, covering the north of England.
In this primarily field based role, your position will focus on developing new business with new and existing customers, and regularly visiting contacts and prospects. Full training on the company’s products will be provided, leaving you to concentrate on building up your customer base.
Your role will also involve conducting ongoing research into new customers, attending board meetings in order to provide sales and marketing reports, assisting the team with producing customer quotations, and discussing customer requirements with technical staff.
To succeed as the Business Development Manager you will have a proven sales record (ideally B2B sales), excellent communication skills and the desire to develop your sales career. As well as your ability to build relationships at all levels, you should also be able to work on your own.
An engineering background would be beneficial to your application, but is not essential for the right person.
