Description Summary of the role Responsible to the Licensed Site (LS) Environment, Industrial Safety & Health Manager for advising on all aspects of Environment, Industrial Safety and Health issues for the Burghfield Nuclear Licensed Site.
Key accountabilities · To assist the Environment, Industrial Safety and Health (EISH) Manager in ensuring the delivery of an Environment, Safety and Health service to the Burghfield Licensed Site, which meets the requirements of the Company’s policy and arrangements

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills · Environment, Health and Safety legislation · Principles of best practice in the field of the Environment, Health and Safety · NII Licence Conditions and arrangements is desirable · Relevant degree or sound experience in Occupational Safety and Health / Assurance is essential · NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is desirable · IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management, or equivalent is desirable · Working within and advising on the requirements of modern Integrated Management Systems · Working within the requirements of a Nuclear Site Licence is desirable · Providing advice and support to facilities / teams regarding legislative compliance and best practice within the field of Environment, Health and Safety · Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes · Effective report writing · Clear, concise, fluent and unambiguous communication skills in exchange of information at all levels, including formal presentations · Ability to build and improve effective internal and external working relationships. · Problem solving and decision making · Ability to work in a team environment, or independently as required
Special Requirements · Willing to work as a monitored RA worker · Willing to wear RPE including respirator
