Description Summary of the role Develop and lead a technical team delivering planned and breakdown repair maintenance and selected modifications in accordance with agreed schedules and meeting the requirements of the Company Maintenance Manual.
Key accountabilities · Ensure maintenance performance is monitored, reported, analysed and corrective action implemented as necessary · Ensure maintenance is supervised, planned, resourced (people, parts, procedures) and implemented efficiently and effectively in accordance with the maintenance plan · Advise the Facility Engineering Manager on a variety of complex and novel matters of technical judgement affecting the above areas · Ensure that the Workshops / sites where work has taken place are left in an acceptable house keeping state and that all surplus parts are returned to the appropriate storage area and identified as to their status · Comply with Facility configuration policy and maintain the configuration baseline · Provision of effective and efficient work supervision for a range of tasks, ensuring that safe systems of work are fit for purpose · Manage and develop technical team in accordance with the organisation development plan · Delivery of maintenance to schedule

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills · Electrical / Mechanical knowledge of building services plant and equipment · Maintenance practises, technologies and techniques · Principles of radiological, toxic and environmental hazard and risk assessment · Team building techniques · Fault finding techniques and methodologie · Company Assurance and Maintenance requirements and associated standards and statutory regulations · Basic financial disciplines · Nuclear Installations Inspectorate Licence conditions and Environment Agency Requirements and relevant electrical and safety regulations and standards · Facility Safety Case - key hazards, engineering fault schedules, outputs and awareness; such as safety mechanisms and Examination, Maintenance, Inspection and Testing IT systems · Instrumented Services, telemetry and electromechanical plant associated with building services and production process equipment · Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent accredited training · HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Practices · Radiological and/or Toxic Area work experience · Building Services Operational Maintenance experiences · Team management experience · Management of implementing technical and non-technical cultural changes · Computer literate · Clear, concise and unambiguous communication manner when using verbal, written and electronic methods · Ability to make sense of issues, identify and resolve problems, but also competent to seek advice when issues are beyond the confines of own knowledge and experience · Conflict resolution · Team building, encouragement, coaching and effective team communications · Task and resource management skills
