Manchester, with regular travel across the UK
Our client is the UK's largest and most diverse equipment rental company.
As part of a restructure of their operations, they are looking for an experienced individual to define and drive a clear product strategy for our client, ensuring they have the best product range across their network to serve their customers.
Working as Product Development Manager, you will be required to lead a small team to develop and define the product offering for our client, reviewing the fleet to support customer demands and maximise returns on investment. You will be responsible for producing monthly forecasts, monitoring repair and maintenance costs, developing controls and procedures for all aspects of asset management and enforcing policies and procedures across their company. You will work closely with various internal teams and also external suppliers to improve the total product offering and ensure that the business has the correct product mix to exceed customer expectations. You will have personal responsibility for the large Plant product offering including the strategy and relationship with their other business partner.
The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in a similar role/industry and should be educated to graduate or equivalent level. You should be a self-motivated and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to supervise others. Due to the nature of this role candidates must be IT literate and hold a full UK driving licence.
