ROLE - DESIGN ENGINEERS - AUTOMOTIVE CATIA V5
SECTIONS - POWERTRAIN / CHASSIS DESIGN
- NVH / BODY / TRIM DESIGN

BASED - COVENTRY, WEST MIDLANDS
SALARY - £30,000 - £35,000 PER ANNUM (PERMANENT POSITIONS ONLY)

• THE OPPORTUNITY -
We are working in partnership with LTI Vehicles, based in Coventry on their current recruitment drive to find additional Design Engineers to work in a busy design department to propose new product ideas, to produce complete and accurate design schemes, detail drawings and calculations for group requirements.
• THE SECTIONS -
POWERTRAIN / CHASSIS DESIGN
- Undertaking assessments of the overall performance and capabilities of design proposals including basic stress analysis if required
- Liaising with the Manager Powertrain & Chassis and Development staff on the viability of new product design proposals and ideas
- Consulting external manufacturers and suppliers on the design specification of propriety components and assemblies for new and existing products
- Investigating and reporting on design problems raised through Company Procedures, by internal departments such as Purchase, Production, Sales and Service, and ensuring a successful conclusion
- Investigating and reporting on design problems raised through Company Procedures by external suppliers and ensuring a successful conclusion
- Reporting to the Engineering Department Management on current projects and work in progress
- Visiting outside manufacturers and/or suppliers concerning design specification problems on new or existing products and production processes
- Undertaking any other design activity as requested by the Manager Powertrain & Chassis
- Ensuring design changes are fully validated prior to release in line with Company Procedures
- Preparing documentation in line with Company Procedures for product changes
- Provides Engineering/Design advice to other Engineers when requested and checks drawings as required in line with company procedures.
NVH / BODY / TRIM DESIGN
- Designing, preparing and developing initial layouts and associated details or models, for new, redesigned and/or modified products and components within legislative requirements
- Undertaking assessments of the overall performance and capabilities of design proposals including basic stress analysis if required

- Consulting external manufacturers and suppliers on the design specification of propriety components and assemblies for new and existing products
