Description Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator Cambridge £neg
We are looking for an additional member of staff for the quality team of this successful, well established, engineering consultancy business. The right candidate needs to have hands-on experience in appropriate industries and must be practical, friendly, diplomatic and possess an abundance of common sense.
Key elements of the role
? To support the improvement cycle in the quality management system ? Carry out full internal and where appropriate, supplier audits ? Review processes to improve and re-implement procedures ? To approach issues with a focus on the solution rather than the problem ? To generally support the Quality Manager with the QMS
Candidate Requirements
? Experience of working in an ISO9001 environment, ideally in Defence, MoD, Aerospace etc environments ? Experience with quality processes, covering complete design cycle from concept through to manufacturing release, including software development, and ideally use of FMEA. ? Familiarity with engineering projects within an electronics design/development and manufacturing facility and the ability to effectively audit these areas. ? Good interpersonal skills together with an ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels - engineers, technical support staff and senior management ? The ability to write clear and concise documentation e.g. audit reports, change control documents, procedures. Familiarity with approvals processes would be a bonus. ? The ability to work reliably, with minimum of supervision
The right candidate will probably have an HNC or D in appropriate electrical/mechanical subjects, although a formal technical qualification is not essential. Good IT skills in Word, Excel etc are however required.
