Flight Test Instrumentation Technician
Location Salisbury

A successful multi national aerospace company are looking for instrumentation technicians to support there aircraft in the UK and on overseas detachments. Applicants will ideally have an Avionic engineering technical apprenticeship or equivalent and a recognised avionic or electronic qualification preferably to ONC standard. Applicants with a strong aerospace engineering background and/or equivalent aircraft engineering experience will also be considered. The role requires you to build and test FTI systems to aviation quality standards, to provide 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support to FTI systems, diagnose and rectify faults, assist with the production of local test procedures for FTI systems and provide through life support to installed FTI systems.
Build of FTI systems
Through life support of installed FTI systems
Compliance with Health & Safety and Quality systems
Support trials detachments in the UK and overseas
Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems associated with FTI
Good IT knowledge and skills, use of MS packages and bespoke software
Knowledge of FTI systems
Manufacturing hand skills to aircraft standard.
Sound understanding of aircraft avionics & mechanical systems on multiple aircraft platforms
Bespoke equipment manufacture, testing, calibration, commissioning & fault rectification
Multiple skills for all aircraft and equipment
Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and configuration control
To build and test FTI systems to aviation standard, quality and timescale
To provide 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support to FTI systems
On aircraft commissioning and calibration to timescale
Fault diagnosis and rectification
Assisting with the production of, and maintaining local test procedures for FTI systems
Avionic engineering technical apprenticeship or equivalent
Recognised avionic or electronic qualification
ONC or above in electronics/ avionics
