A leading aerospace company are looking for a rounded supply chain and manufacturing management proffesional to drive business improvement in new product introductions covering several key areas which interact across the business.
Our client is facing a key stage in its transformation programme.
The business has to re define and re-align itself to a “total service organisation” complete with a development, assembly integration capability.
Nature of Role
A significant key role within the Supply Chain Organisation, requiring an experienced and driven individual. Key nature or this role is delivering significant change and business transformation. The successful candidate will have a high degree of business acumen and leadership skills coupled with a deep understanding of low volume high complexity manufacturing.
New Product Introduction
To coordinate Supply Chain input into development programmes
To drive understanding of future business opportunities and coordinate Supply Chain input into bids
To manage Supply Chains compliances to the clients lifecycle process
To lead the Manufacturing Engineering input into development programmes
Supply Chain Lifecycle Process
To coordinate the definition, implementation and development of Supply Chain processes that ensure Supply Chain departments are fully complying with Cobham's lifecycle process
To lead the definition, implementation and development of the Manufacturing Engineering lifecycle processes
To drive the up-skilling of Supply Chain staff in methods and practices utilised in line with CME'S lifecycle processes
Supply Chain Strategy
To coordinate the definition of Supply Chain strategies into potential new opportunities
To coordinate the implementation of Supply Chain strategies including make Vs buy decisions for development programmes
Bid Management
To coordinate Supply Chain input into bids including provision of recurring and non-recurring costs as well as risks and opportunities
To ensure that any Supply Chain related customer requirements pre bid award are assessed and appropriate responses fed back into bid team
Post contract award, ensure that an action plan is formulated and executed that ensures compliance with Supply Chain related customer requirements
