Job title: Support Team Leader
Location: Hampshire
Salary: £40-50000- DOE
Contract Type: Permanent
A Leading Aerospace Company are looking for a Support Team Leader to join there wining team. The successful candidate will be Operating within a matrix oriented organisation to provide leadership of the Engineering Support Team across one or more projects and/or bid activities in support of Integrated Project Teams. To be responsible for the performance, management, measurement and reporting of all engineer functions within team of responsibility.
To provide leadership and development of multi-disciplinary teams to meet the requirements of the business and its customers.
Key duties:
To provide leadership on one or more projects supporting Integrated Project Teams with accountability for project performance on engineering aspects against key success criteria, whilst ensuring team adherence to engineering processes.
To develop team members by identifying and recommending appropriate methods of training and development (e.g. PDR process) and to develop and maintain a training matrix. To ensure skills are up to date and ensuring that the team members regularly practice skills.
Working with the Project Manager and Engineering Project Team in the preparation and maintenance of detailed engineering plans to support the overall project plan; including budgets, resource requirements, task allocation, task dependencies, quality standards etc.
To support the Project Manager in the preparation of management reports covering progress against key success criteria and with recommendations for corrective actions.
Job related experience
Experience of managing a project to completion through managing multi-disciplinary teams Experience with the full aerospace equipment life cycle and of the development of bespoke equipment incorporating electronics and embedded software. Technical understanding of avionic equipment and sensing systems Analysis and problem solving
Qualifications & Experience
HND or degree in an engineering discipline
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with the full aerospace equipment life cycle and of the development of bespoke equipment incorporating electronics and embedded software.
