Description Responsible for the management of up to 100 staff you will prepare weekly orders from clients and liaise with the Production Director and Operations Manager to plan weekly production. You will direct daily packaging production to ensure orders are met in full , planning production of frozen goods, stock levels at the right level, plan staff rotas to ensure adequate staffing on each shift.
You will liaise with the Engineering department with regards to Maintenance and repairs of the packaging equipment, ensure that the quality of the products are right through the Quality Assurance department, and identify and organise training for staff.
Essentially this position is at the centre of the company where you will be the go between and have effective working relationships with Line Supervisors, Floor Managers, Personnel Department, Quality Control department, Health & Safety Managers, Warehouse staff, purchasing, dispatch and Good in Staff.
You will have a good understanding of documented policies and procedures, a working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, Food & Hygiene policies, Quality Management, Planning and Organising and 3+ years as a senior management role ideally within the food industry |
