QUALITY ENGINEER
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER
WEST SUSSEX
A first class career opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join the UK market leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of medical equipment including operating tables, electrosurgical units, bench-top autoclaves and surgical trolleys based in West Sussex.
The Quality Engineer will join the company?s Quality Affairs Department and your main purpose will be to participate in supplier quality assurance activities and internal audit programme to ensure maintenance of the Company?s regulatory and quality systems. In this role you will also construct and maintain technical documentation to meet the company?s regulatory requirements, as well as lead investigate customer complaints.
Applicants should be educated to at least ONC level, with HNC/HND level an advantage. Proven experience in a quality/technical role in a manufacturing/engineering environment is required, ideally with experience in the medical device industry. IQA membership or active involvement in obtaining qualifications for membership is desirable.
The ideal candidate should be able to conduct root cause investigations; provide clear, concise and comprehensive verbal and written reports to all levels of Management; self motivated and well organised; able to liaise and negotiate with others in the pursuit of goals and able to work with others, providing support and constructive ideas in addressing problems.
