Here is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise to our client?s Turbomachines group in Baden, Switzerland. This company is one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure based in Baden, Switzerland and is now looking to recruit a Development Engineer ? Aero Systems.
As the Development Engineer ? Aero Systems you will execute aero systems development projects with the objective to optimize total cost and to continuously improve the group's technical and commercial competitiveness. You will perform competitor benchmarking and ensure operational/site feedback and assist in the preparation of system time schedules. Furthermore, you will prepare technical documents and check supplier documentation and lead technical negotiations with suppliers. Also you will perform system calculations, concepts and specifications including operation and protection concepts, safety assessments, validation and test concepts as well as CFD calculations. In addition you will act as an interface between different functions and provide technical sales support.
The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering (Bachelor) and an additional degree in economics would be desirable. You will need experience in customer project execution and in aero systems plant engineering. Experience in aero systems development would be beneficial. Furthermore, you will also need solid expertise in mechanical engineering (aerodynamics, air filtration, acoustics, mechanical integrity) and in the area of operation and controls. You should have a basic electrical knowledge and knowledge in acoustic engineering (silencer design calculations, acoustic enclosure design calculations) would be advantageous. Applicants should be fluent in English and a basic knowledge of German would be useful though German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential. A target-oriented team player, you will have effective communication skills and a thorough working style.
