PRODUCT QUALIFICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
GAS TURBINES
BADEN, SWITZERLAND
In order to meet the demand of supplying future sales of steam turbine equipment, our client, one of the world leaders in transport and infrastructure based in Baden, Switzerland is now looking to recruit a Product Qualification Support Engineer. In this role you will develop and qualify the supply chain for all new steam turbine components, materials and processes to meet their technical design requirements.
As Product Qualification Support Engineer you will coordinate the product qualification process across all new steam turbine components groups, taking input from company process specialists and product owners to define qualification documentation, special tests and inspections to be completed during trial and initial orders to achieve full production release. You will work with suppliers and ensure the consistent delivery of their products and processes to meet the demanding technical requirements of advanced technology steam turbine equipment. Furthermore, you will assume responsibility for ongoing performance evaluation and monitoring of qualified suppliers to ensure a high quality level.
The successful candidate will have a degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification and experience. Ideally you will have a background in precision component manufacturing, quality, non-destructive testing, inspection or sourcing. Significant relevant experience in a precision engineering environment is essential and you will also need general mechanical design and manufacturing process knowledge.
The ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English is essential. German language skills would be a benefit though German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is crucial. You will be a team player with good IT skills and have the motivation to develop and apply your engineering expertise within an international team. You will also need the ability to work independently and have a willingness to travel in order to support supplier visits.

Famous for its thermal baths and historic town centre, the small but lively town of Baden is situated just twenty minutes from Zurich and the airport.
