A first class career opportunity has now arisen for a Combustor Development Engineer to join the R & D Execution business unit of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure based in Baden, Switzerland.
Due to the worldwide demand for clean electric power production, combustor technology is the key differentiator for competitive gas turbine engines. This company is known for world class low emissions with its unique and innovative sequential combustion system in the GT24 and GT26 gas turbines. To maintain the competitive position of their gas turbines in the global market, they are pushing the development of combustors day by day. As the Combustor Development Engineer, you will optimize and validate combustor operation concepts to meet increasing needs for non-standard fuels and operation flexibility. You will analyze emission and thermo-acoustic behaviour of gas turbines as well as implement and validate state-of-the-art development tools and methods.
Successful candidates will hold a degree in mechanical engineering or similar. In-depth experience in the field of combustion engineering, preferably related to gas turbines is required. Significant relevant industry experience or a PhD qualification would be an advantage. Reliable and a self-motivated individual you will also have strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to act on your own initiative. German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
Famous for its thermal baths and historic town centre, the small but lively town of Baden is situated just twenty minutes from Zurich and the airport.
