Description COMBUSTION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - MECHANICAL INTEGRITY GAS TURBINES BADEN, SWITZERLAND
A Combustion Development Engineer is now required to join our client?s R&D Execution business unit based in Baden. Due to the worldwide demand for clean electric power production, combustor technology is the key differentiator for competitive gas turbine engines. This company is known for world class low emissions with its unique and innovative sequential combustion system in the GT24 and GT26 gas turbines.
As Combustion Development Engineer, you will perform structural assessments and lifetime predictions of gas turbine combustor parts; develop and validate analytical models for the simulation of static and dynamic structural mechanics as well as define and monitor experimental test programs. Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, materials science or an equivalent qualification, successful candidates will require in-depth experience in the field of mechanical integrity of gas turbines or related fields. Significant relevant industry experience or a PhD qualification would be an advantage. A good understanding of related areas such as materials science, design, thermodynamics or engine operation is necessary. You will be reliable, open-minded and solution-oriented team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude to teamwork. German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
