PRINCIPAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
WARRINGTON

We are seeking experienced Environmental Consultants who have a demonstrated flair for developing new business, and have a proven track record of project delivery to assist in expanding the established environmental business of this Engineering Consultancy into new areas.

Based in Warrington, the Principal Environmental Consultant will play a leading role, taking responsibility for the development of new business, the cultivation and management of customer interfaces and the preparation of high quality proposals that will succeed through an in-depth understanding and analysis of customers problems and of the company?s capacity to solve them

You will take the lead on providing technical consultancy, including project management, and may also take responsibility for junior staff, the management of subcontractors, and technical review. You will be required to produce high quality technical reports on the outcome of your work and to deliver your work to agreed timescales and cost.

To succeed as Principal Environmental Consultant, you will have an established reputation in one or more of the following areas; strategic planning, Waste management, Decommissioning studies, Environmental regulation, policy and economics, Options studies (e.g. BPEO, BPM), experience in EIA, SEA and EMS, compliance management or Public and stakeholder engagement.

It is expected that you will have a very good first degree in a physical science or related numerate discipline and may well have a post-graduate qualification in an environmental discipline, along with demonstrable experience in business development, project management and in working on environmental issues, in for example the nuclear industry.

You should be numerate and able to use a range of software packages, should have substantial experience of customer interactions and evidence of successful proposal preparation. A full, clean UK Drivers Licence is essential and security clearance will be required.

You should be highly motivated and will relish working in a multi-disciplinary environment on a range of technically challenging projects.
