Description AEROSPACE PRINCIPAL ENGINEERS INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANCY DERBY
The position of Aerospace Principal Engineer is the senior technical leadership and governance post in Derby, working closely with staff, clients, the Derby Management Team and the Aerospace Chief Engineer. The role requires an individual who has extensive and appropriate experience of mechanical design and stress analysis in gas turbine and/or airframe domains.
To succeed as Aerospace Principal Engineer you will be Degree qualified in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification. You will have extensive and appropriate professional experience of structural design and stress analysis and will also be fully conversant with aerospace industry analysis methods, standards and practices.
This is a significant technical role. You will therefore be required to have an aircraft structures or aero engines stress background, experience in leading and mentoring technical teams and a strong understanding of the aerospace industry
You will also be expected to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of structural design principles, energy, enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude, strong communication skills, commercial and consultancy awareness, ability to assist in securing future work and familiarity with business processes and enthusiasm for managing high quality technical output.
Ideally you will hold, or have held a position of technical leadership, with an emphasis on ?doing?, have a strong technical reputation in industry to match your experience as well as a track record of technical approval and sign-off of novel designs and/or supporting engineering analysis.
All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to BC level. Additional restrictions may apply to certain projects.
