They currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their progressive company. As part of the site production unit, you will be required to supervise the safe and efficient working of the Mechanical Maintenance Team.
Working with a team of 4 direct reports, you will maintain and improve performance in order to develop the workforce into a fast responding and predictive unit. You will take responsibility for managing mechanical maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance systems, whilst ensuring all activities meet quality and specification requirements.
As a role model for high health and safety standards, you will also be accountable for ensuring the appropriate safety measures are taken by promoting a safe working environment. This is of utmost importance to our client therefore you will be required to effectively manage activities as prescribed in the health and safety manual whilst encouraging all employees to work smart.
The Senior Maintenance Technician will be a time served mechanical engineer with a HNC / HND qualification or equivalent. You must be experienced with the implementation and utilisation of lean tools and techniques and be confident in supervising others. Safety is of high importance and they are looking for a self motivated individual with evidence of a real achievement within a process type production environment. It is also essential that you are computer literate.
