If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking, innovative company, then read on. Our client are a unique privately owned company who have developed a range of battery driven, zero emission commercial vehicles. Due to expansion and change, they currently have a new opening for a highly organised SQA / Warranty Engineer to join the Quality team in Coventry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing an effective continuous improvement strategy within the lean environment, ensuring the products our suppliers provide us with are 100% accurate. You will therefore liaise with a variety of suppliers in order to achieve this, giving approval of supplied products, coordinating advanced product quality planning (APQP) programs for new products and day to day management of supplier performance.

In addition, an equally important aspect of this exciting role is to ensure there is a speedy and satisfactory resolution for our customers with regards to any products returned via the warranty process, which will involve keeping accurate records, supplier liaison and customer facing investigation activity. You will therefore need to liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers on technical matters and issues such as failure liability, cost of failure, warranty cost recovery, component faults and failure trends and the generation of warranty reports.

GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential. ISO9001 auditing experience is preferred, and although not essential, experience of ISO14001 would be advantageous. Finally, candidates must be PC literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft office software packages and thus able to create, edit and use data to produce reports and analysis.

Candidates must also have experience or knowledge of quality tools. A HNC / HND in a related discipline would be at a distinct advantage, however this is not essential.

Our client are a truly unique company with an innovative product. If you have a passion for quality, attention to detail, good report writing and clear communication skills combined with a willingness to learn, they would like to hear from you.
