Description SENIOR MANAGER ? ENGINEERING R & D TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PRODUCTS AND SYSTEMS NEW DELHI, INDIA
This company is a Traffic Management products and systems technology company, specializing in supply of Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS) worldwide. They are a 100% owned subsidiary of a North American company, with their corporate office in Canada. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Manager to join their Engineering R & D office in New Delhi, India.
The Senior Manager will manage and delegate the engineering work with the team. Your responsibilities will be to ensure that all technical documentation is executed in accordance with the requirement for quality, while respecting any pre-established constraints for budget (capital and services costs), previously established design criteria and schedule.
The successful candidate should have a very strong grounding of design engineering codes and technical standards. You should also have several years post qualified professional engineering experience in design engineering. An understanding and appreciation of the complexities of large multi-disciplinary projects and how this can/will impact engineering design functions will also be required.
The candidate will need the ability to successfully run and manage a discipline specific team as well as a capability to manage/interface with multi-disciplinary engineering projects. The candidate should also have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and a willingness to learn as well as a capacity to mentor subordinate staff members. The individual should be a team player although capable of working autonomously.
This role will also include software integration on the application and packages developed in C#, VB, Oracle, Crystal reports; embedded software should be an advantage. You should have experience in integration of embedded circuits, sensors, PLC for outdoor environments and demonstrated ample new product development capabilities. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Managers by identifying and implementing training programs for competence development as per customer requirements. You should have experience with various international standards (CENELEC, CE, UL, BIS etc) and have also worked in the capacity of Systems Manager in overall design of project specific system.
Familiarity with Engineering documentation, document and part numbering, building BOMs and data management and IPR would be an advantage.
