HOME BASED
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DESIGN CONSULTANCY
Excellent opportunity for you to join this dynamic and fast-growing electrical engineering design consultancy. Our client specialises in the provision of comprehensive control and protection system solutions to both UK and overseas electrical power system industries.
Due to continued growth they are now recruiting for Electrical Project Engineers with experience in the electrical power sector. You will be involved in performing system integration and other engineering services such as project management and lead engineering, including the preparation of electrical schematic diagrams.
As Electrical Project Engineer you will have a firm understanding of control and protection schemes. The successful candidates should be able to interpret client project requirements from conception to delivery whilst applying design solutions in accordance with relevant national and international standards. Knowledge of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and ?interface engineering? is required and familiarity with AutoCAD would be an advantage. You should have good written and oral skills and a demonstrable ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
The company?s client base ranges from electrical Utilities to ?Blue Chip? clients, including heavy industrial users. They perform a great deal of work with major manufacturers such as Siemens Areva, ABB and Mitsubishi doing work for National grid and the NG alliances, so familiarity with National Grid and the ability to perform a lead role on projects would be a distinct advantage. In addition they carry out work with DNO companies such as EDF Energy and also Scottish Power, so experience of either of these would also be useful.
